Are you up for a fun-filled day at the City Park and a chance to win prizes?

Enjoying hunting for treasure as a group activity, where you’ll engage with others, collaborate to achieve a common goal, and have the chance to win prizes. This fun outdoor event promotes digital sustainability.  


International Youth Day 2025: Youth Empowerment for a Sustainable Future highlights the vital role that young people play in leveraging digital technology to build a better and more sustainable future. 

This event is designed to promote young adults’ use of digital technology skills and teamwork abilities as they take on engaging quests in an exciting scavenger hunt. This outdoor activity will encourage participants to explore Azure Beach Park using their mobile device to take on challenges such as solving trivia, deciphering cryptic clues, and completing photo/video tasks.  

You will have fun attending the event - engaging with others, working together to achieve a goal, and having the chance to win prizes. It's a great opportunity to build connections, learn new things, make new friends, and enjoy a memorable experience.   

 

This is a FREE event!

International Youth Day 2025 celebrates the resilience, creativity and impact of the youth around the world.

This year, the theme is “Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development”, as of 2016 the age group 0-19 accounts for 26.1% of Azure Beach’s population.

The youth lead the charge in digital adoption and innovation with youth aged 15-24 using the internet higher than any age group.

Azure beach public library will be hosting an arts and crafts event for International Youth Day "Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development"

Participants will be given a blank canvas, newspapers and magazines and other tools to create mixed media art, surrounding the topic of the digitalisation of the modern world and its impact on sustainability.

This event will offer youth to express their creativity, innovation and collaboration in addressing sustainable development in the digital age.

This event is open to applicants aged 15-24 years!

Workshop on Empowering Young Minds: A Youth Mental Health Program

To celebrate International Youth Day Azure Beach Public library services will be organizing 1 hour and 30min workshop for Youth on “Empowering Young Minds: A Youth Mental Health Program”

 

Speaker: Mr. Patrick Parker, Director- Community Mental Health & Partnerships

Date: 12th August 2025

Time: 10:00am to 11:30am

Venue:  Azure Beach Public library - Cove library meeting room (inside the library building.)

Outcome of the workshop: The outcome of this workshop will provide youth to learn techniques and strategies to manage stress and anxiety as well as improving overall mental wellbeing. It will also encourage participants to improve self-reflection, self-awareness and self-care practices to promote mental health wellbeing

Moreover, by attending this workshop the participants will be able to receive access to a range of mental health resources, including council services, online support groups and educational materials. Not only that through this workshop the young people will be able to build stronger and more supportive relationships with their peer and family members

Creating a Fashionably Sustainable Future

 

Celebrate International Youth Day in Style at Azure Beach Public Library!



Azure Beach Public Library invites anyone aged 15-24 to join guest speaker Clare Press for a discussion group about the future of fashion and how we can all make sustainable choices.


Clare Press will give a short talk about her latest book 'WEAR NEXT, Fashioning the Future', followed by a discussion where the group will talk about all the things they love about fashion and come up with different ways to change the current wasteful and exploitative industry, from making your own clothes to thrift and second hand shopping.
