Over the last few months our team at Azure Beach Library
have been cooking away at a special project, and we are so excited to announce
our event as part of the wider International Youth Day program….
Pathways @ Azure Beach Library!
Over the coming weeks, three groups of students from the
local Southern Cross University campus will be working on a serious of
presentations in the fields of Engineering, Social Sciences, and Environmental
Science. Students from local high schools, as well as the local TAFE campus
will be invited to attended Azure Beach Library to learn directly about future
study and career options from their own peers, with presentations and question
times being run from 1:00pm - 2:30pm on the 12th of August, 2025 in
the Library Courtyard. Attendance will be free and facilitated by participating
educational institutions.
This event is in line with 2025’s International Youth Day
Theme, Youth Empowerment for a Sustainable Future, for which more information
can be found on the UN’s website here.
Be sure to wear your best, as part of Azure Beach TAFE’s
contribution to, a film crew will be present to produce a short film on the
event and share their experiences of tertiary education.
Food and Drink will be available at the library café but be
sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen as this event will be held outdoors!
