#Youthforsustainability

You are our future. You are the solution.

The youth of today play an integral role in the future of the world -- this includes you.

Azure Beach Library would love to invite you to join our collaborative workshop! This workshop is for the youth of our community to come together, brainstorm, communicate, discuss and propose different social and environmental that this community faces and how we could solve it and aim for a better future.

The UN has created these Youth Day events as they recognise how important the younger generations are in solving problems that our world faces. You are our future. You are the solution.

The UN hope that this event will spark your interest for leadership and more information about their hope for our future generations can be found here .

Just within the borders of Australia, 15-24 year olds make up 3.3 million people of our population (13%), so, these issues will have and impact on your life -- You deserve to have a say in the solution and your future!

Azure Beach is proud that we are participating this year as our Council would love to see your contribution to these problems. We want to hear your voice.

As the world faces political, social, environmental and economic turmoil, there is peace in the knowledge that our younger generations know and care, and that they have have ideas and solutions for these seemingly impossible situations.

The UN defines sustainability as “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”

The UN's approach and some of their efforts on sustainability can be found via this link if you would like to do further reading and explore who is running this event.

We can achieve this with your help. With impending tensions between countries, natural disasters, climate change, inequality and humanitarian issues world wide, the UN has employed the youth of today to work together across all nations to help them find a solution.

So please, come join us and talk with us! Join our collaborative workshop where you will work with other youth in your community on solutions for a brighter future and discuss your own thoughts and views on the issues of our world.

We all have one common goal: a bright and liveable future.
