International Youth Day is commemorated annually on the 12th of August and serves as a day for us to acknowledge the challenges adolescents face, honour their contributions, and encourage their active participation in building a better future.

This year’s theme “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond” highlights the incredible role young people play have in localising the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals and turning global commitments into local realities.

Young people are more than just beneficiaries of development…. they are active leaders, innovators, and changemakers. Their ingenuity, energy, and unique perspectives make them instrumental in tackling today’s most pressing challenges.

Join us for a Listening Tour Consultation Session and Talk with Satara Uthayakumaran, the 2025 Australian Youth Representative to the UN. This is your chance to share your ideas and concerns about issues that matter most to you.

Your insights will help shape Satara’s final report to the Australian Government and the UN, ensuring youth voices are heard at the highest levels.

Be part of the conversation. Be part of the change.

Please note: this event is limited to 50 attendees. Registration is required.
