The Flower Power event is a fun craft activity where you will be able use a recycled container to create a painted pot that will be used as a home for native wildflowers.
All items will be provided for you (paint, flower seeds, soil, etc.) except for the container, which you bring from home! A container that is 1L or less is recommended.
Not only will you then be able to take home with you your own personal native planter, but we will also learn how to use the iNaturalist app - a handy tool that can assist you in identifying plants and animals in your environment (such as the flowers we'll be planting) by taking photographs and uploading them on the app. Learn more on the website here.
Help the local ecosystem by growing native plants and contribute to citizen science with our Flower Power activity this International Youth Day!
