Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover
History Week Human Library Event
@ Azure Beach Public Library, Saturday, 9 September 2023 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Instead of picking up a traditional book, come and read a "human book" - join this History Week Human Library Event.
History extends beyond textbooks, documentaries, and old photographs; it also resides within the ordinary experiences of everyday people.
This event celebrates the richness of individual stories, and emphasises the importance of preserving and sharing personal histories of indigenous Australians.
Whether you're a history enthusiast, a curious soul, or someone simply looking for a special way to enjoy a Saturday morning, the History Week Human Library Event will deliver a unique and enriching experience. So, mark your calendar for 9 September 2023, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, and join us at the café inside the library.
We have four "books" to share their stories.
May
Zainab
Tan
Adore
Prepare to be inspired, challenged, and reminded that every person you encounter is a living, breathing book with a story waiting to be explored!
