Get excited! A Human Library Event is coming in March!
In March 2023, Azure Beach Library will be hosting the We are all on the Same Page Human Library program. It will be hosted in the Azure Beach Library Main Building.
This event corresponds with the week in which Harmony Day falls, an annual day to promote inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background. This upcoming "We are all on the Same Page" human library program embodies these values.
A Human Library is an event in which customers can book a timed session to talk one on one to another person and ask them questions in order to learn about life experiences and ideas different to their own, and broaden their worldview by meeting someone they wouldn't usually meet.
This library event will be focused on multiculturalism in the Azure Beach Community. For the "We are all on the Same Page" Program there will be five volunteers from the local community, from Australian First Nations, German, Italian, Filipino and New Zealander cultural backgrounds, who will be "Living Books" for the program.
The event will be run on Saturday March 25th 2023 from 12pm to 2pm. You can book a fifteen minute session with a Living Book of your choice in person, over the phone (0123 456 789) or through our email AzureBeachLibrary@outlook.com. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult if they attend a Living Book session.
