The world has been severely affected by humanity’s continued existence on the planet. Climate issues like deforestation, global warming, loss of many species of wildlife future generations will only know from stories and pictures, loss of many species of flora replaced by buildings, parking lots, playgrounds, zoos etc. The Indigenous people have been habitants of Australia for over 65000 years, widely accepted to have pre-dated European and American settlements, and have been working with the land by using the natural resources to make dwellings, find and prepare food, make clothing, weapons and teach the younger generation to do the same so that they can continue to live peacefully on their rightful lands and continue to care for the earth. This program will highlight their existing and continued importance, educate non-Indigenous people how to sustainably use the earth's natural resources to balance, educate and encourage the attendees. The human library event will strive to assist attendees to live life more sustainably and ethically using the skills from this event to consider and adapt their impact on the planet and appreciation for the Indigenous people.
