Come meet members of the Azure Beach community and learn about the many different faiths that are practiced within our diverse and growing city!
The United Nations has declared the first week of February every year to be World Interfaith Harmony week. As our city grows, we have become increasingly diverse and we at Azure Beach Library think it is important to acknowledge this diversity and take steps towards making all people feel welcome. We are celebrating by creating an opportunity for dialogue between people with different religious practices within our Azure Beach community.

What is a Human Library?
The Human Library Project began in Denmark in 2000. A Human Library is an interactive learning event where attendees can challenge their perception of people who are different than them. Volunteers act as "Books" who share their life story and experiences. Participants borrow them for 20-30 minute intervals to discuss taboo topics or ask questions they may not otherwise get the opportunity to, in order to increase our cultural awareness and deconstruct our biases.
