Open Like a Book

What is a Human Library, it provides someone with an opportunity to meet someone different and learn about these people experiences regarding their gender, race, sexual orientation and many more. Think of this person like a library book, they're open to providing information about these topic that are apart of their every day life. More information can be found Here

Naidoc week celebrates the culture and history as well as the achievements of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This is held every year on the first week of July and  provides a chance for people to learn more about this vibrant culture. More information can be found here

 

So we invite everyone to our Human library event 'Open like a Book' on the 8th of July to celebrate Naidoc Week. We are gonna have 10 people from the Aboriginal community come in and tell us about their personal life experiences and their family history. This event will be held in Azure Beach library within the courtyard on Sunday the 3rd of July at 12 AM and you can register for a ticket on Eventbrite.
