Drag Queens and Kings - A Human Library Event!  

In celebration of Mardi Gras, Azure Beach Library is hosting a human living library event, with the theme being Drag Queens and Kings. 

During the event, people may come and “borrow” one of the 4 Drag Queens/Kings for up to 25 minutes. In this time, you are allowed to chat with the Drag Queen/King about drag, ask them questions, and listen to their real stories and unique experiences as artists and performers. 

This event is an opportunity to gain a more accurate understanding of Drag Queens and Kings in a fun and educational environment where people feel safe, comfortable, and understood. 

The aim of this event is to break down stereotypes and misinformation and to build up nominalisation, interest, and respect for human diversity and difference in the Azure Beach community.
